Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter holiday with the kids. On Saturday they hunted for eggs and after a little coaching were old pros at picking up the eggs and dropping them in their baskets. On Sunday they wore new Easter clothes and got a basket from the Easter Bunny. They got most of their candy from the eggs in their egg hunt so they only got some chocolate in their baskets.

I cooked Easter dinner with my sister in law and it was delicious. I have come to the realization that I will always think of my Mom when I am cooking because A) I am probably using her recipe B) I want to call her and ask a question and C) She was always cooking yummy stuff for us and that was her way to show her love. This meal was no exception. I made a delicious glaze to go with my ham and I also made Overnight Potato casserole both of which were recipes of my Mom's. It is such a weird feeling because I miss her so much at these times but yet I also feel the closest to her.

Church was nice and I had the opportunity to bear my testimony in Young Women's as part of our lesson. Easter has always been a favorite holiday and time of year and I love the chance to contemplate the resurrection and to be thankful for all that Christ has done for me and for you. So Happy Easter!

Your kids are so beautiful. I always get a lump in my throat when I read your comments about your mom. Thanks for helping me to be a little more grateful for what I have. You're awesome.

Sam - Dustin made me add that picture because of her face. :-)

C - Now you are making me get a lump in my throat! I don't know if I ever told you but your Mom always reminded me of my Mom.
