Dillon and Lauren turned 2 yesterday! We had a fun filled day with presents and cake and Elmo. My friend said once that when you have babies and toddlers the days feel like they will never end but the years go by fast. That saying really rang true for me. So indulge me while I reminisce with pictures.
Here I am at 36 weeks pregnant. I delivered at 36 weeks 2 days.
I just love how this dress hangs off my belly.
Lauren weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and was born at 7:02 AM
Dillon weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was born at 7:00 AM
So happy to be finally be a MOMMY!!!
Our two little burritos!
About 1 1/2 weeks old and ready to go on a walk!
And now for the party pictures. Our decorations were really low key but they liked them!
Another view of the dining room.
One of the things that always made my birthday special growing up was that my Mom made a cake for me. I looked forward to picking out what I wanted and she would do it! So I am trying to follow in her footsteps but I am not a professional cake decorator. I was lazy and used store bought frosting which got soft really fast and was hard to ice with. I also ran out of red food coloring so Elmo is not quite dark enough and I also ran out of red icing but all in all not bad for my first time.

I have a hard time believing your babies aren't babies anymore! I remember when we came to see you in the hospital like it was yesterday. I wish we could have been at the party to celebrate. Please give them kisses from us. We miss you guys!
Cute pics Jeannette. I'm so glad you included the ones of you with your big tummy, since I never saw them. My friend is pregnant with twins -- it's her second & last round of IVF. She just had one baby her first time. It is insane and incredible how far a woman's tummy can stretch and then shrink back down. By the way, don't buy into the idea of the terrible twos. I think the twos are still adorable.
Such fun to take a trip down memory lane! Don't you just love looking back at the pictures and comparing to now?! Your Elmo cake turned out way cute!
Michelle - I still want to call them "the babies". Trying to break that habit now since they are toddlers! I wanna come see you guys and your new house. Maybe in June?
Rachelle - I look at those pictures and can't believe how huge I was! It didn't seem that big at the time, but holy cow. That is awesome about your friend. I hope the next time we do IVF it is at least 1.
Sam - I have to be careful when I start looking at old pictures because then I totally get sucked in and spend way more time than I intended. And thanks about the cake!
They are so big! Happy birthday Lauren and Dillon. I still can't believe we are both mothers after all this time, and I can't believe my boys will be as big as yours soon enough.
BTW, your belly was so much cuter than mine.
Adorable pictures and I love seeing the pregnant ones too! It reminds me of when we first started emailing and exchanging pictures back and forth of our twin bellies. I can't believe that they are 2 already. Wow, where has the time gone?
I love that picture of the twins in their diapers on your camping post. SO CUTE!!! I can't believe how big they are getting. Man, we miss you guys. If you ever make it to Oregon or we makie it to Georgia we have to get together.
